THE CU­BAN FLAVOR OF GE­NE­SIS

A pic­to­rial ex­ten­sion of “Sa­bor cubano” —the tittle of the book by Pa­tri­cia Be­lat­ti that was pu­blis­hed in Me­xi­co in 2015—, cu­ra­ted by Mi­guel Án­gel Gar­cía Pi­ñe­ro and Jo­sé Ca­mi­lo Ló­pez Valls, was inau­gu­ra­ted last March with a list of front-li­ne ar­tists: Nel­son Domínguez, Liang Domínguez Fong, Mi­chel Mi­ra­bal, Ar­tu­ro Mon­to­to, Nel­son Ra­mí­rez and singer-songw­ri­ter Kel­vis Ochoa, who pre­pa­red se­ve­ral dis­hes of Cu­ban cui­si­ne. Ac­com­pan­ying them in this en­dea­vor we­re Eduar­do Ro­ca Sa­la­zar (Cho­co), Ar­tu­ro Mon­to­to, Flo­ra Fong, Al­ber­to Les­cay, Ali­cia Leal, Juan Mo­rei­ra, Liud­mi­la Ve­las­co (photograph­y), Arián Ir­su­la Ló­pez, Leo Ca­no­sa (tat­too), Jo­niel León Ma­rre­ro and Ig­na­cio Ur­qui­za (Mexican pho­to­grap­her). Ga­llery, Nel­son Domínguez's Studio-wor­ha­va­na, in an en­vi­ron­ment very in tu­ne with the ce­le­bra­tions for the 500th an­ni­ver­sary of the Cu­ban ca­pi­tal.
