/ The CIAC boosts the training of managers in the automotive sector

/ El Clúster de la Indústria d’Automoció de Catalunya (CIAC) has closed a collaborat­ion agreement with CEU IAM Business School to jointly promote the Sectorial Automotive Developmen­t Program - PDD Sectorial Automotive.

This program has developed this business school with the aim of giving the managers of the sector the necessary knowledge and skills to lead the change from their responsibi­lity within the companies. The collaborat­ion agreement, which was signed at the facilities of the Universita­t Abat Oliba CEU, in Barcelona, led by the president of the CIAC, Josep Maria Vall and the director of CEU IAM Business School, Álvaro Rico.

CIAC sources says that the agreement constitute­s another step in the Cluster’s commitment to improve the competitiv­eness of the automotive industry through actions that promote the training, innovation and developmen­t of companies in the sector. At the signing ceremony, the new rector of the Universita­t Abat Oliba, Rafael Rodríguez-Ponga, the Postgradua­te Director of this university, Iván Roa and the and the CEU IAM Postgradua­te Marketing Manager, José Poblacione­s, were also present. The PPD Sectorial Automotive is lead by Vicenç Aguilera, the president of the Circuit de BarcelonaC­atalunya and a key figure in promoting the automotive industry in Spain. The study plan is divided into six topics: Analysis and macro area of the automotive sector; Macrotrend­s and future

models of automotive business; Strategic direction and finances; operations; marketing and sales; team leadership and individual leadership.

This new training program, which is held in Barcelona from 18th of March to 18th of July at the Universita­t Abat Oliba, is aimed at managers and business units directors or automotive department­s that want to achieve a 360º view of the changes and advances of the sector, middle managers who seek improvemen­ts in the strategic management of the business, analytical profiles, engineers, financial controller­s, marketing profession­als and sales managers who wants to grow profession­ally.
