The surprise factor is key when organizing any event, and that was our goal last year when we presented the 2019 edition of BASQUE LUXURY MAGAZINE. That’s why we chose the most unique and original building for holding conferences in the Basque Country: the Aquarium of San Sebastian.

Although there are many who have been in this museum at one time or another (we must remember that it receives more than 300,000 visitors a year and is one of the five tourist sites with the greatest influx of visitors in the Basque Country), there are not as many who have had the opportunity to attend an event at the Aquarium; and people’s reactions tend to be very positive when they participate in a conference in such a special environment. For the presentation of our magazine, we reserved the Aquarium itinerary, where guests were able to enjoy a glass of champagne, and the Oceanário, a glass tunnel measuring 18 meters in length and surrounded by more than 7,000 fish of 47 different species.there, a cocktail reception was held with a jazz group providing entertainment.

But the spaces we used for our event are just a small part of the 4,000 m² that this complex has available

for conferences. Its facilities also include the recently remodeled Auditorium, the White Zone, and the T and Nautilus rooms. Able to seat 160, the Auditorium is presided over by a spectacular aquarium of tropical fauna. The White Zone, in turn, has a terrace that overlooks the spectacular Concha Bay. If a more spacious room is needed to hold an event or an exhibition with a greater number of guests, the T room is a good alternative: this space measures 110 m² and can hold up to 100 people. Lastly, the Nautilus room, which measures 58 m², can be used for meetings, press conferences, coffee breaks and cocktail receptions. Each and every one of the building’s spaces are multipurpose and equipped with cutting-edge technology. On the Aquarium’s upper level, the Bokado restaurant can be found.this is an establishment which, in addition to having yet another attractive space for events, provides excellent catering services.
