-

“The breeze fair aft, all sails on high;ten guns on each side mounted seen; She does not cut the sea, but fly; A swiftly sailing brigantine.” The famous poem by José de Espronceda is the first thing that comes to mind when the Spirit sailboat arrives at the Concha Bay.the vessel has a length of more than 12 meters, a beam of more than 4 meters, and three sails (the mainsail, genoa, and spinnaker). This vessel –manufactured in La Rochelle by Dufour Yachts–, which belongs to the company Spirit Experiences, has become the favorite of those who want to sail the Basque coast in style.

Spirit Experiences organizes each outing in a personalized, private way, allowing for half-day, full-day, and several-night experiences to be had.remember, the sailboat has three double cabins and two bathrooms for overnight outings. Good food is guaranteed, as the vessel has a kitchen, a barbecue, and two dining rooms – one inside and one outside. All outings include food and beverage service: a snack on the half-day excursions and a lunch on the full-day routes, with the option of tasting the “Dry Land” menu (which features meats, cheeses, and vegetables), the “Sea” menu (with fish and seafood), the “Vegetarian” option (featuring salads and vegetables), or the “Sampler” menu with a selection of the best local products. They also offer an experience with a private chef who prepares personalized seasonal menus, paired by a sommelier. While the Spirit can accommodate up to six passengers, many couples book the sailboat for themselves for a romantic meal or even for a marriage proposal. Companies also rent it for teambuilding sessions and for learning to sail.
