Machenïa

The environment in which a corporate event is held determines its success to a large extent. More and more companies are replacing the plain conference rooms of some urban business hotels with places with more authenticity, making work meetings pleasant and enjoyable encounters. In this sense, there is a rural estate in the French Basque Country that has attracted the attention of numerous firms interested in holding medium-sized events: Machoenïa. Strategically located 20 km from Biarritz and San Sebastián, in Urrugne, this space attracts companies from both sides of the Pyrenees and also customers from other countries like Singapore, the USA, the UK, and Japan.

Machoenïa has several hectares of land where visitors can enjoy outdoor celebrations. For indoor events, it has an eighteenth-century farmhouse and stables that have been converted into a dining room that can accommodate up to 170 guests. There is also the possibility of installing a tent on the outdoor terrace for conferences of up to 350 people.

Both the outdoor and indoor facilities are completely versatile and adapt –with their modern furniture– to all kinds of events: wine tastings, themed meals, gastronomic dinners, product debuts, exhibitions, fashion shows, and workshops. The management of the dining services is the responsibility of the Bokado Group, a leader in miniature haute cuisine catering services. Established in San Sebastián 25 years ago, this company has renowned firms and institutions amongst its customers such as UEFA, BMW, Gamesa, Real Sociedad, Carrefour, the Balenciaga Museum, and the Salzburg Opera. Guests attending corporate meetings at Machoenïa enjoy delicacies like blood sausage with seasonal fruits, mushrooms with salmon served with sunflower seed “empedrado” salad, grilled foie gras with peach and sage, and cod fillet brandade and piperade.

Direct contact with nature, without neglecting functionality and refinement in terms of service, are the main assets that Machoenïa brings to corporate events – and this can become the best incentive in terms of winning over customers and employees.
