Andoni Luis Aduriz,ángel León, Diego Guerrero, Eneko Atxa, Joan Roca, Maca de Castro, Nacho Manzano, Pepe Solla, and Quique Dacosta: some of the best chefs of Spain are going to take part this year in Sunsetbastian, creating a pioneering gastronomic experience in all the world that will allow participants to sample a gourmet picnic designed by said cooks.

Sunsetbastian is an initiative that came to be last summer and which aims to enjoy the beautiful sunsets of San Sebastián at a private estate while gourmet products are savored in the form of a picnic.the food basket is customizable and can contain a basic selection of typical regional foods –Spanish omelet, bread, cheese wedges, water, and beers– and this selection can be topped off with delicacies such as sturgeon caviar, champagne, wine, anchovies, bonito, cured pork loin, and ham, among others.to ensure supreme quality, the organizers work only with trusted suppliers and producers.the Spanish omelet is from the famous Zabaleta Bar, the cheeses are from Elkano 1, the canned foods are from Serrats, the bread is from The Loaf, etc.

The estate located next to the sea on the hillside of Mount Igeldo is a privileged place to enjoy the twilight outdoors. To get to the site, Sunsetbastian offers the option of transportation in a luxury vehicle with a driver.the experience is directed towards the locals and foreign visitors; to couples, families, and groups of friends. In the future, some special editions will be held at other unique locations, such as a sailboat, and in some cases they will be set to live music.

The “signature picnic” option provides a selection of proposals devised by great chefs aiming to present a little fragment of their territory, some memories of their childhood, and/or merely share what they would take to a sunset. Anyone who has ever wondered what those responsible for leading restaurants like El Celler de Can Roca, Mugaritz, and Azurmendi to stardom keep in their pantry now has the chance to find out just that and enjoy the very same products in the middle of nature.
