On the Paseo de Francia, one of the most elegant avenues in San Sebastián –classified as a protected space by the city hall– a new, four-star-superior hotel has just been inaugurated, known as abba San Sebastián.the building in which it is located, the old Vastameroli Palace, is one of the most beautiful in the city and was erected in 1937 by architect Eduardo Lagarde. It is a four-story house/ palace in Baroque style surrounded by landscaped grounds and which features magnificent views of the Urumea River and the city center.
During its conversion into a hotel, the protected facade of the building, with its coat of arms and its beautiful sandstone ornaments, has been kept intact, respecting the original appearance.
