Homes by SSH
PROJECTS & CONSTRUCTION
The construction and interior design company Homes by SSH came into existence with the purpose of building smart homes in the Basque Country. Its unstoppable business path has led it not only to become firmly established in this region but also to undertake projects in other Spanish regions, as well as in France.
The company has grown so much that it currently has three offices to serve customers: one in San Sebastián, another in Bilbao, and a third in Valencia. The San Sebastián space also acts as a showroom to showcase to the public pieces by the distinguished firms with which it collaborates like Bang & Olufsen, viabizzuno, and Lutron. For the installation of audiovisual systems, Homes by SSH relies on Bang & Olufsen, the Danish company that is renowned for creating the best televisions and home speaker systems on the market. Lighting is the responsibility of Italy’s Viabizzuno, a company that has carried out important commissions such as the lighting of Palazzo Mondadori in Milan, the Gucci Museum in Florence, and the controversial Palazzo della Civiltà Italiana in Rome, current Fendi headquarters. Lutron is the leading North American company in terms of home automation, and it has among its clients the Guggenheim Museum of Bilbao,
the Fort Lauderdale Airport of Miami, the Caesars Palace Casino of Las Vegas, and the headquarters of Bloomberg in New York.
The high expectations of these technology developers are such that the homes built by Homes by SSH are well superior to projects carried out by other construction companies, especially in terms of home automation. Customer satisfaction can be seen in the number of jobs undertaken recently by the company in France and in Spain. In 2020 they built five homes in Bordeaux, six in Biarritz, and another six in Saint Jean de Luz. In all three cases they started by completely emptying the buildings. In Spain, the number of projects is even higher: invalencia they have divided two apartments and have expanded a house by adding one more floor; in Bilbao they have remodeled six apartments, built a single-family villa, and divided some basements in the Ensanche Area; in San Sebastián they have built a development comprised of three houses on Urbieta Street, they have divided a large property from which the La Concha Bay can be seen into four, they have remodeled apartments in the center, in Aiete, Gros, and Ondarreta, they have carried out the division of basements on Arrasate Street, Urbieta Street, and in Miraconcha, and they have also divided an apartment in the center into three and have built nine homes and a commercial space in a building on Trueba Street, as well as three single-family villas in the Atotxa-erreka neighborhood.
The increase in the number of projects being commissioned to them is happening at a time when they are committed to staying true to their all-in-house philosophy; that is to say that they run their jobs from start to finish with their own, in-house team. Their staff includes architects, engineers, construction supervisors, interior designers, and planners specializing in developing and building residential housing and undertaking interior design, decoration, lighting, landscaping, modular architecture, separation of property, and division of property.
