Latest news from Friends Of The Children Of Emaús

-

The Benissa Multicultural festival was enjoyed by everyone who was there and Friends of the Children of Emaús raised over €800 which will go toward all those little (and big!) things that improve the Children's lives.

Representing Great Britain and the FCEmaús stand, The Gilbert and Sullivan Society performed on Saturday night and Footlights performed on Sunday night. A big thanks to both groups. Thanks also to Benissa Town hall and to Members and Friends who came along; thanks children; it really helps us to know that we have a fixed amount coming in every month/ year so we appreciate all those who support us on a regular basis.

The more Members and Friends the children in the Emaús homes have, the more we, as an Association can provide for them.

It really is true that the more people that we can encourage to join the more money we have to spend on the essentials of food, gas and electricity bills, clothes, shoes, school books and transportation. It also makes it possible take the advantage of making a monthly or annual subscription as their donation to help the children. It also helps the Association to know there is a regular amount coming in.

MORE MEMBERS AND FRIENDS ARE NEEDED! So if you, your family or friends would like to do something to help, please send you details to info@fcemaus.com.

Being a Member or Friend doesn't mean we can go and visit, take the children out or spend lots of time with them. Time spent, and any activities, must be led by the trained Social Workers who live day to day with these vulnerable children. Their training enables them to supply the different kind of support the individual child needs; and these needs are many and varied.

Once you become a Member or Friend we will keep you updated on news and events and you will receive an invite to the Annual General Meeting held toward the end of each year where you can put forward your ideas and suggestions.

Whether it be as a Member or a Friend we really would be delighted to welcome you to our Association.
