The Parkinson's Disease Group
The Group is progressing, and another facility is now available - a special concession has been offered at the Spa Swimming Centre at the Marriott Hotel. Contact us for more details. The group normally meets on the last Monday of every month at the Help Centre in La Xara. If you suffer from the disease, please free to join us. We begin at 1.30pm with a Yoga session specially adapted for sufferers, and this is followed by tea and biscuits and time to chat amongst each other. We are in the process of equiping a treatment room, which will have facilities for providing massage, reflexology, reiki etc. These treatments are free to members and carers. HELP at the hospital and health centres: Please ensure when booking a translator with our Help office 96 642 70 44 for your appointment, that you know which hospital you are attending and inform our staff as we do not yet have a Help desk in the new Health Centre in La Pedrera Hospital. When you need further appointments, if possible please ensure that you give the telephone number of a Spanish speaker, as a contact for the hospital if you do not have sufficient knowledge of the Spanish language to understand over the phone.
Rotary Fellowship International - Denia
The Rotary International Fellowship Denia welcomes both current and former members of Rotary or any other service organisation, together with spouses, partners and guests to join us at Mapamundi Restaurant, 1.15pm for 1.45pm for lunch on the first and third Tuesday of the month. We are an international group of many different nationalities; the meeting is conducted in English. As well as a very enjoyable meal this provides an opportunity to meet like-minded people from different backgrounds in a relaxing and convivial manner - also, we occasionally have outside speakers. Denia Writers' Circle
New members welcome. No matter how little or how much you have written, we can provide the support and help you need to improve your skills in a friendly but hard working atmosphere. Our members write all kinds of fiction: short stories, novels and even poems. Whether you are interested in writing for fun or for publication feel free to visit us. We meet every other Saturday afternoon at 3pm for 2 hours, reading out what we've written since the past meeting, and creating ideas for new skills. Gospel Choir

The season finishes with our traditional and popular visit to Benitachell Church on Wednesday, December 17 starting at 7pm.
At all concerts, the choir will be performing some old Christmas favourites, plus some new pieces that have not been performed in public before. Again the choir is led by our talented Musical Director, Claire Harkness-Post.
