Male Voice Choir Fundraiser

-

The outstanding Costa Blanca Male Voice Choir is performing in Teulada on Saturday October 10 to support the community work of the Church of England in the area.

Following its usual summer recess, the ever-popular choir will sing, under the direction of Musical Director Claire Post-Harkness at the auditorium below the Town Hall in Teulada. The venue holds an audience of 250, so tickets will sell fast!

To reserve your tickets for this new programme, and to support the choir and the work of the Anglican Chaplaincy please call Martin Bentley on 96 574 4657, or email him at martin bentley1@gmail.com. Tickets are just €10 a head.

Church of England parishes in Spain are entirely self-funding. So fundraising is essential to maintain the Church's ministry here, including funerals and pastoral care to the sick and the bereaved - and the activities of the seven local churches in support of causes such as Caritas, Emaús, World Vision and the Gandia Hospice.

The Chaplaincy serves the community from Valencia to Alicante with Sunday service in 8 different towns. For information on the activities of the church and the contact details and service times visit costablanca-anglicanchaplaincy.org/.

The Choir

The Costa Blanca Male Voice Choir was the first expatriate male voice choir on the coast and we have a membership of nearly 50.

Although a few members read music, the majority do not, and so we have a number of methods to help learn the music including a computer software package called Noteworthy which can be used to play any part over and over again.

We had 11 performances last year and rehearse every Tuesday evening from 6 to 8pm in the back room of the Bar Mediterraneo in Teulada (30 mins north of Benidorm).

We have a summer break in July and August.

New members are always welcome.

All we ask is that you like singing and can sing mainly in English.
