Murder plot thwarted, but scheming wife released

a Danish man in Marbella who told him his now-ex girlfriend had asked him to fire the fatal shots, and offering to back him up in reporting the matter to the police.

According to the Dane, his girlfriend was 'very serious' in her talk about killing her ex and had intricate knowledge of the Dutchman's different businesses, properties, cars, and daily routine.

She asked her boyfriend to lend her money to bring a hitman over from her native Venezuela if he was not prepared to go through with the murder.

The boyfriend said he did not want anything to do with her plans and walked out of the house they shared, ending the relationsh­ip immediatel­y. He then traced the ex-husband via social media and warned him.

The murder target and his future killer have a young son in common and share custody of him – a régime which has been fraught with rows and problems which are thought to be the motive for her decision to end his life.

Although the men's statements and the taped conversati­on provided enough circumstan­tial evidence to make an arrest, the woman denied everything and was released without bail. A DÉNIA woman believed to have been plotting to kill her exhusband is now walking the streets after a judge released her pending trial.

The would-be victim, a Dutch national divorced from the accused six years ago said he had been tipped off by his former wife's new boyfriend, whom she had asked to carry out the murder.

A conversati­on between the woman and her partner of nine months, which had been recorded, appeared to prove that the Dutchman was in danger.
