-

The 25th Alfaz Fantasy Football League got off to a flying start last week with the Premier League when there was 25 goals, 8 clean sheets, 28 yellow cards and 1 red one which was Everton's Phil Jagielka who was dismissed by referee Craig Pawson who just happens to be the same referee who sent off two Chelsea players in their first game last season. Wow talk about setting an early marker down!

There was plenty of Fantasy points up for grabs and the first team to take advantage was Nikki's Liverpool 94 who rattled up 60 points which took them to the top of the Fantasy League by one point over Winnie's team Le Hombre Rioja. Both teams are full of Liverpool players who enjoyed a walk in the park when they beat west Ham 4-0 at Anfield. Lee's team Athletico Higgo are right on their tails and are only 1 point behind them. Down at the bottom of the table Susan's Brazilian Hooligans are joined by John's Dodgy Dribblers, both on 7 points.

The two ladies are also top of our Mark Carter Ladies Section just ahead of M.A.K. Forever and last season's winner of this League Pauline's Vodka Army who are joint 3rd. At the opposite end of the Table Kim's Ginger United have got off to a bad start and are 4 points adrift of last season's serial Wooden Spoon Winner Laura's Legends.

William & Harry are newcomers to the Fantasy League and they have taken to it like a Duck to water has they have wasted no time in reaching the summit of our Junior League with a 4 point advantage over young Olly's team Olly F.C. Roo & Woos Wombles are holding all the young ones up at the bottom and are trailing Harrison's Boden Boys by 3 points.
