El Crisal wins the Trolling Fishing Contest
Forty-nine fishing enthusiasts and 19 boats participated last Saturday, October 27 in the 'Concurso de Pesca al Curricán' organised by the Altea Club Náutico.
For the first time this year Terre y Mar, decided to support the event and collaborate with the Altea Club Náutico.
In order to promote responsible fishing and awareness in the marine environment, each boat has only been able to present a maximum of six pieces per permitted species: bass man, melva, llampuga and bonito.
With this restriction, it is intended that anglers do not exhaust the fish banks and travel to different areas to look for various different species.

In second place, León IV, Gustavo Moreno and crew members Rosa Mª Canales, Alejandro Moreno and Pablo Moreno were classified, who achieved a weighing of 7580 grams and has also been awarded the prize for the largest piece thanks to the capture of a llaruuga of 1430 grams.
The third position went to Brillante, skippered by Timoteo Mulet and manned by Tomas Pajaron, with a total of 7280 grams of fish caught..
The contest began at 7:00 am and the fishermen had about 6 hours of fishing to get the greatest diversity of species and the best sizes. At 13:00 the catches were weighed for the best catches
