Caught up in court drama
Audiences at Javea Players’ production of courtroom drama Rough Justice can expect a challenging and emotional night’s entertainment as a well-known television presenter goes on trial for the murder of his baby boy.
A serious drama unfolds as James Highwood, frontman of popular show ‘British Justice?’ finds himself in the dock over the killing – he was arrested by police after rushing the ninemonth-old baby to hospital.
And the defendant – who decides to defend himself – is pursued by a top barrister and sparks fly between Highwood, the Queen’s Counsel and the judge.
Demand for tickets means an extra night for the production has been announced, on Saturday November 24 – the original run was Monday November 26 to Saturday December 1, but after the Wednesday to Saturday shows sold “like hot cakes” the production was extended.

“Who wouldn’t be moved by this pretty harrowing situation? But that is the point of the play. You will be moved, you will be torn between what is morally the right thing to do, and what is legally the right thing to do, and you will be torn which way the verdict should go.”
