Easter in Benissa
BENISSA returns to the Easter programme 'Viu La Pasqua' from this Friday, April 12 with a full range of leisure activities organised for all of the family.
During the celebrations, on April 15, 16 and 17, there will be interactive demonstrations of how to make a ‘Mona’, an Easter cake with a boiled egg. These will be at 17:00, and pre-registration is required by emailing turismo@ajbenissa.es.
There will also be series of small musical concerts in the chapel of the Abargues Foundation or Casa Abargues (April 15 and 17, at 19:30 and 20:30). Admission is free until each venue is full.

FRIDAY, APRIL 12
20:00: Concert by the Musical and Lyrical Society of Benissa at the Center d'Art Workshop d'Ivars (Pl Germans Ivars, 3-5)
SATURDAY, APRIL 13
00:00: Orchestra La Tribu. Plaça Rei Jaume I
SUNDAY, APRIL 14 – PALM SUNDAY
11:30: Blessing of the leaves in the convent and procession to the church of the Puríssima Xiqueta.
17:30: Valencian pilota game in the Trinquet hall - €8 entrance, under 16’s are free
MONDAY, APRIL 15
17:00: Make your own Mona de Pascua, Dulcipan Bakery, Plaça Rei Jaume I. (max: 20 pers.) Registration up to 10:00 on the same day at Tourist Info Benissa: 96 573 22 25 / turismo@ajbenissa.es – cost €2.
19:30 and 20:30: Mini concerts - chapel of the Abargues Foundation. Plaça Portal, 4 - capacity: 50 people. Access will not be allowed once the concert has begun.
