Today was a beautiful day to play golf, we were delighted to have a field of 33 players two of whom were guests. The guests were: - Pamela Cooke and Martin Cooke Our Captain for 2019, namely Bill Pike, wished everybody a good game today.

There was a slight breeze, and the sun was shining all day The course was in excellent condition with fairways and greens getting back to their very best, and the scoring in the competition reflected this. Remember it is pairs better ball.

1st Place with 45 points was Steve Patton and David O’Connor, 2nd Place with 43 points was John Evans and Nigel Siddall, 3rd place with 42 points was Mike Connelly and Graham Boreley, 4th place with 42 points was Colin Foster and Bill Sykes, 5th place with 41 Points was Peter Rapley and Susie Snelling.

So, well done to everybody for some great scoring.

Nearest the pin in Hole 5 was Susie Snelling with 1.84 metres and at hole 16 there was no winner as we lost the paper with the results on it.

There was only one 2 today, and that was by John Snelling, so many congrats to John, and the balls in the water today was 90, which was won by Bill Pike, and immediately went to the Captain’s Charity.
