Busy 2019 for Calpe U3A
Calpe U3A have had a busy year in 2019 with day trips and short holidays.
We had two visits to Valencia, a boat trip to the Island of Tabarca, a bodega trip and a very interesting visit to the hot springs at Fortuna. Our highlight was the four day- three-night holiday to Seville which included at visit to Tío Pepe and to the Spanish riding school at Jerez.
We have had well attended meetings with interesting and informative talks from our speakers.
Our next meeting is on Thursday, January 16 at the Sol Ifach Hotel . doors open at 10.00am for signing in etc. with time to speak to our group leaders . the meeting starts at 11.00am and our guest speaker
The choir has, through its many acclaimed concerts, raised considerable funds for local charities such as Caritas and the Convent Day Centre in Jávea which cares for the elderly and Alzheimer's sufferers.

The English Choir
The choir is now 30 strong and members meet every Thursday from 3.30pm until 5.30pm in the Pensionista Suite Teulada to rehearse.
Under the mighty baton of new musical director Jan Gardner Brown accompanied by Heather Butcher on the piano the choir cover an ever expanding programme of diverse musical genres .
Since its inception the choir have raised many thousands of will be Nancy Appleyard the subject will be “The English Language”.
Aday trip is planned for Wednesday, January 15 to the La Zenia Boulevard shopping centre boasting 150 shops. Casa pick up 08.30am Esmeralda euros for charitable causes.

World Mysteries Discussion Group
This is a discussion group which meets up every 2nd and 4th Friday of the month from 5-6pm at The Bar Mediterraneo, Avenida Del Mediterraneo, Teulada located on the right at the first traffic light controlled crossing coming from the N332 direction. We discuss all types of unexplained fascinating mysteries in our solar system and throughout the universe. We aim to promote investigation and research in order to share information and discuss these interesting topics.

Amigos de Make a Smile Charity
Shop reg number G 42511527 . Charity shop open Mon- Fri 10am till 1pm in Teulada. We are situated at the bottom of the dual carriageway on the left hand side going down, in between the Tyre shop and Rodafoc fire place shop. Plenty of parking on the nearby waste ground. held on the third Thursday of the month at the Sol Ifach Hotel Calpe.
