U3A Vall Del Pop – A night at the Palace

-

And what a night it was it really was such a night!

Fifty-five members of the Vall del Pop U3A left the Jalon Valley on Friday afternoon, January 24 to spend the night in Benidorm and to go to the Benidorm Palace to see the new show AQUA. We tried a new hotel this year, the Mediterraneo, right opposite the Palace. Great hotel and great food, and welcoming staff, certainly no complaints.

We then went over to see the show in the evening and what a dazzling spectacular it is. Obviously, the theme is water but none of us got too wet!! The show is so professional with beautiful costumes, superb dancing and a variety of different acts, with great illusions from David Climent. A show not to be missed.

After a late breakfast on Saturday, most members went for a leisurely stroll along the seafront, coming back for a well-earned lunch. We will certainly be looking to do this again next year.

Report by Jennie Tollan and Sonia Higginson.

Thank you

Our members are sending A big thank you to the Benidorm Palace staff who helped one of our members who took a nasty fall whilst walking into the theatre. Their quick action certainly saved the day and we are sure she will get to see the show another day Thank you Benidorm Palace staff.

The U3A is all about enjoyment and learning, and this is particularly evident in the U3A Vall del Pop, whose members hold their General Assembly generally, fiestas and holidays permitting, on the first Thursday of each month at the Centre Polivalent in Murla, and have a diverse range of more than thirty groups for the interest of the members.
