Monte Mar Matadors vs Greenlands Cedars

At home to the Cedars the Matadors had a very good result, winning on four rinks and the overall shots. Well done to Lynne Armitage, Don Cleeter, skip Ronnie Cairns; Sheila Roberts, Steve Hindle, skip Phil Goble; Gina Hindle, Alan Ashberry, skip Jack Burrell and Pauline Merry, Jan Gatward, skip Chris Merry.

Monday January 27.

Monte Mar Matadors vs Vistabella Drivers

It was a tough game away to Vistabella Drivers, although at one time there was some close games. We only managed to win on one rink and draw on another, well done to Lynne Armitage, Don Cleeter, skip Ronnie Cairns and the drawing rink of Tanya Oliver, Margaret Finlayson, skip Barry Watson.

Shots: Matadors 101 – 109 Drivers. Points: Matadors 3 – 11 Drivers.

Friday January 24

Monte Mar Toreadors vs Country Bowls Geckos

Friday saw the Toreadors travelling south to play the top team of the division Country Bowls Geckos.

The Toreadors had a very close game and won on three rinks. Well done to Jean Chamberlain, Rita Towle, skip Neil Crawford; Sue Bounds, Cindy Bedford, skip Les Bounds; Colin Bedford, Diane Horsington, skip Joan Harding.

Geckos. Points: Toreadors 6 – 8 geckos.

Monday January 27

Monte Mar Toreadors vs Greenlands Beech.

Monday we were at home to Greenlands Beech. Before the match commenced we had a minutes silence for our team member and close friend Cliff Norris, who sadly passed away the day before while playing in the Clubs 'Chicken Run'. It was a very, very, close match, where three of the rinks finished on the last end. Unfortunately all three rinks went to the Beeches, well done to the winning rinks Jean Chamberlain, Iain Sheridan, skip Joan Harding; Jan Soars, Wendy Sheridan skip Howie Williams and Julia Hamilton, Diane Horsington, skip Ian Hamilton (who could do nothing wrong we were sure they were helped by Cliff).
