Costa Blanca Computer Club

- By Victor Waldorff

Meeting activities have begun again in the Sierra Bernia School on Saturday mornings from 10am, with the main themes as in 2019 - covering all kinds of work and games with talks and PC’s, Laptops, Mac’s, iPads, iPhones and other touch screen Tablets, as well as PC graphics, photo tips, Windows 10 and new freeware programs.

Sometimes you might suspect an email in your inbox. The message seems too good to be true, see the basic advice to avoid being scammed.

Don’t click on the links or attachments in suspicious emails and never respond to messages that ask for your personal or financial details.

Don’t assume a phone call or email is authentic, even if someone knows your basic details (such as your name or address). Remember, criminals can spoof phone numbers and email addresses to appear as companies you know and trust, such as TV Licensing.

Your bank will never call and ask you for your PIN, full banking password, or ask you to transfer money out of your account.

You can pay us a free visit to see our work at any Saturday meeting if you want to learn more about the use of your electronic gadget. If you like, what you see, you are welcome to join the club at your next visit.

See information about the club, the full meeting programme, informative notes from earlier demonstrations and talks, advice about how to avoid malware and much more on our web page, https://sites.google.com/view/alfaz cbcc/home
