The Royal British Legion Gandia District
The Gandia Branch is the most northerly Branch of TRBL in Costa Blanca North, it is a small but friendly group of like minded people who support the welfare needs of all those who have served or who are still serving and their families.
We raise funds to support this while having a good time. We meet on the first Wednesday of every month at Bar/Restaurant El Pelut, Carrer de la Sagrada Familia,Oliva.
The Members' meeting starts at 12.00 followed by a great lunch and visitors & guests are always welcome.

Cat charity Catland has opened a charity shop in Javea port to help raise funds for the care of abandoned felines.
Money is already available to start the construction of the charity’s refuge in the Marina Alta town but it needs a regular income to meet costs.
And while a date has to be fixed for officially cutting the ribbon at the Catland shop; it is open from 10.00 to 14.00 Monday to Saturday.
As well as selling donated items, the shop has a notice board to advertise events and cat adoptions; it is also hoped prospective volunteers will pop into the premises in Carrer Churruga - at the side of the ‘Fisherman’s Church’ to offer their help and join a dedicated team.
Charity president Claire Wall said: “We have been going for two years now and are waiting for a building licence to start work on the refuge. will be welcomed with open arms!
CASA DE ANIMO DIARY: Every other Sunday: Afternoon tea every from 2.30pm-4.30pm. Tuesday morning drop-in: 10am-1pm. Drop in for a cuppa and a chat.

HELP SHOPS: Both shops open Mon to Sat 10am to 1pm. Caritas donations - non-perishable food and toiletries can be taken to the Help shops in Jalon and Alcalali and will be delivered to Caritas. Recycle your cards - bring them to the Help shops so they can be turned into new cards for all occasions.

The Javea Association of Model Makers
JAMM session on the second Tuesday of each month. The aim of the club is to exchange ideas and teach each other new techniques, we cater for all levels of skill and subjects including, ships, boats, aircraft, tanks, cars, trains, railways electric and steam, HO to garden size. It also has three fully equipped workshops within the group capable of making almost anything.

Javea School of Bridge and Social Club
The club is currently playing bridge four days a week at temporary premises due to flood damage at their club house. We pride ourselves on raising considerable funds for worthwhile causes. In our recently extended premises in Carrer Nancy 1, Javea's Arenal, we now have even more room for our wonderful collection of items for sale.
We are now looking for volunteers of all nationalities to enable us to continue with this good work.
We also have a custom built English language library in Javea Park which has over 14,500 books available for loan for a small subscription along with hundreds of books, DVDs and CDs, for sale. We also sell quality greeting cards, gift wrap, etc. The library is located in Javea Park Circle between Digby's Sports Bar and the The Barber Shop.
