Benitachell offers five senses tours

Benitachell is betting on ‘experimental’ tourism. With the objective of seasonally adjusting the influx of visitors, energising economic activity and showing the vineyards as a characteristic of the town, the department of agriculture and economic promotion has once again announced the 'Taste the moscatell with the 5 senses' programme, to be held in March, April and May.

The itineraries intend to publicise one of the best resources of the town - its agricultural landscape and the process of cultivation and collection of muscat grapes. The routes will offer a unique experience with the five senses. With sight and touch, the route will give the opportunity to work alongside farmers to prune and “dismantle” vines of the BioMoscatell project. This will take place on land with fabulous views of the Mediterranean Sea and the Montgó. With taste and smell visitors can taste muscat products, as well as enjoy wine tasting afterwards in the Municipal Market. Finally, with hearing, the sounds of nature that surround the vineyards can be appreciated.

The routes, which will be in Valencian, Spanish and English, will cost €35 and will take place on March 21, April 18 and May 16 from 11:00 to 14.30.
