Stableford competition February 2020 at El Bosque Club de Golf.

What a difference a couple of weeks make. Last month our match was delayed due to frost while this month we played our game in barmy temperatures in the mid-twenties.

Some lily-white legs were on display as members dressed in their shorts and produced some very close scoring. The only thing in common between the 2 months was a high turnout of over 30 players on both occasions.

Congratulations go to Reg Ditchfield, our walk away winner (he stopped running years ago!) with 34 points, and to Ian Skipper and Phil Holmes, 2nd and 3rd respectively, and only separated on count back. Guest winner was Dan Siekkinen with 35 points.

1st round Knock Out victories went to Les Mason, Peter Howarth, Stephen Halasz, Keith Tomkins, Herman Oude Lohuis, Reg Ditchfield and Paul Beamish-Knight. Front 9 winner with 18 points was Stephen Halasz while Peter Howarth won the back 9 competition with 19 points. Chris Yates took his wife home €55 by guessing that there would be 128 blobs or nil scores.
