New measures adopted by Calp’s town hall in response to the declaration of a state of alarm due to the coronavirus:
All payments and municipal taxes are suspended for the duration of the state of alarm and those receipts already paid for services that could not be provided will be refunded. There will be social emergency aid for people at risk of social exclusion - this will be processed automatically or can be requested by phoning 965 837 223 or via e-mail servsociales@ajcalp.es; aid for business and the self-employed are also being prepared. Aguas de Calpe is extending the payment period without any kind of surcharge for those people who cannot pay their water bills within the voluntary payment period. Their customer care number is 963 860 600 and the telephone number for breakdowns and emergencies is 965 837 707.
The Citizen’s Advice Bureau will attend to citizens in person only to request “fé de vida” (certificate confirming you are alive and your marital status) and the digital certificate from Monday to Friday from 9 am to 2 pm. It will be necessary to make an appointment by phoning 96 583 36 00 or 900 20 40 50. For any other procedures, the attention will be by phone only on the same telephone numbers.
A new psychological help service is being set up by telephone and Skype. You can book an appointment by calling 663 212 521, between 9 am to 1 pm from Monday to Friday.
The town hall is calling 3,000 elderly people within the municipality to find out how they are and if they need anything. Elderly people with reduced mobility can call Civil Protection and the Red Cross to get medicine or food delivered to their homes on the following numbers 647 613 076 and 96 583 16 16.
