Bonus for street cleaners
Employees of the public cleaning and maintenance services company, Benissa Impuls, will receive a financial incentive to thank them for their dedication and hard work during the health crisis.
Over the past few weeks Benissa Impuls has prepared a continuity plan. The document describes all measures implemented by the management team to guarantee the safety of all municipal employees.
The strategy has been progressive over the past weeks, but had a first phase in which they were forced to develop a major restructuring of the areas, schedules and tasks.
Taking into account the current situation, the priority was for the health of the employees.
For this reason, some employees were asked to work from home. Others, whose daily life requires being outside, were given extra guidance on health and safety. In the second phase of implementation additional measures included 'continuous information for workers', the provision of new PPE (personal protection equipment), and the increase in measures for the disinfection and cleaning of machinery.
In addition, the company has streamlined the procedures so that, in accordance with the applicable regulations, especially vulnerable people were temporarily. The text also explains the measures to make working time more flexible in order to avoid overexposure and possible contagion. The initiative that drew the most attention in the report was the one that proposes to reward the staff with an incentive to those who pay special dedication and commitment in these difficult times.
The amount, still to be determined, will be paid over the next few weeks.
“We are very proud to have a company like Benissa Impuls at the moment. This incentive is a well-deserved recognition of the additional effort they are making,” said Arturo Poquet, the mayor of Benissa.
