■ Duncan Ferguson, a former player at Goodison Park, is still with Everton, engaged as the club’s Academy coach.
■ Roland Nilsson, once of Sheffield Wednesday, held managerial posts at FF Malmo and FC Copenhagen and is still in football in Denmark.
■ England World Cup winner Sir Geoff Hurst became sales director of Motorplan.
■ Another WC winner, George Cohen (now 80) ran a sports shop and was a property developer in Kent.
■ Andy Townsend, a midfielder with Aston Villa, Chelsea, Middlesbrough, Norwich, Southampton and WBA, is a football consultant for a company – Harlequin Property’ which helps set up soccer schools in the Caribbean.
■ Willie Anderson, ex-Manchester United and Aston Villa winger, now lives in Oregon, USA, having worked for three American radio stations and KPTV as well as coaching a women’s varsity football team, Riverdale High.
■ Francis Lee, ex-Bolton, Derby and Manchester City, went into the toilet roll making business before becoming Manchester City’s chairman, a racehorse trainer and local club cricketer.
■ Goalkeeper Mark Bosnich, once number one with Aston Villa, is now a players’ agent and TV soccer pundit with Fox Sports in Australia.
■ Jim Cumbes, exTranmere, WBA and Aston Villa goalkeeper played cricket for four counties before becoming the Chief Executive of Lancashire CCC (1998-2012).
■ Ex-Arsenal star John Jensen was engaged as a Football Consultant by FC Brondby; he also managed two Danish clubs and was assistant coach of his country’s national tam.
■ Juninho Paulista, formerly of Middlesbrough, became general manager of FC Ituano in Brazil.
■ Vinnie Jones, once a bricklayer, then a Chelsea, Wimbledon, Sheffield United and Leeds footballer, turned to acting and an even sung on TV!
■ Eric Cantona, once of Manchester United and Leeds, also took up acting – and was a decent one at that!
■ After retiring, Tomas Brolin, the blonde Swede once of Parma and Leeds, made a hit record with ‘Doctor Alban’, sold shoes and vacuum cleaners and starred in a Jacuzzi advert on TV, as well having a crash in his car with an elk!
■ Jeff Whitley, a player with Manchester City and Sunderland, became a second hand car dealer, based in Stockport.
■ Steve Hunt, a midfielder with Coventry, Aston Villa and WBA, held coaching positions at Port Vale and Leicester and now lives in retirement on the Isle of Wight.
■ Dwight Yorke, ex-Aston Villa and Manchester United, is the Sports Ambassador for Trinidad & Tobago. In 2017 he was denied entry to the USA because of an Iranian stamp on his passport.
■ Wolves’ record goalscorer Steve Bull is now the Molineux club’s P.R.O.
■ Ray Daniel, ex-Cardiff, Hull, Luton and Portsmouth defender, now works here in Spain (Turre) as a personal trainer.
■ And Ray Graydon, a 1975 League Cup winner with Aston Villa is now a PL referee assessor.
