Alfaz Fantasy Football League
With the Premier League and Alfaz Fantasy Football League still on hold, we can have a look at how the Premier League can influence there st of the A .F .F .L . when it resumes.
The integrity of this season will be unavoidably compromised, by the number of injured players who would have missed the closing stag es of the campaign but could now be fit when football resumes.
F or instance, many of the 9 5 Fantasy League managers who selected Spur' s ace striker Harry Kane will now be smiling as it looks like the England marks man will be available to finish the season off. His teammate Heun g-Min Son was also facing an uphill battle to play again this season due to a brok en arm and a hamstring injury. Even Jose M ourinho was on record saying he could not wait for the season to end. Well it's all change no was both players are in with a chance of finishing the season off.
Manchester City also have high hope sofa couple of players returning in L aporte (2 5 managers' choice) and Le roy Sane who was only chosen by two Fantasy managers because of his expected transfer to B ayern Munich. However both players could be back in action to finish the season. Chelsea and Bournemouth had the most players off injured before the football was suspended with eight players a piece. The Cherries are going to need all the help they can g et if they are going to escape relegation while the Pensioners need points to qualify for the Champions League if there is one!
It has been said many times that the key to conquering the A. F. F. L. is to keep as many players involved in the F. A. Cup as possible, so that they can pick up bonus points as the competition unfolds, ev en down to the F. A. Cup Final itself.
V irtally, anyone in the top ten could still win the 2 6 th A .F .F .L . but it's fair to say the champions will come from one of the top five and for that reason we will have a look at how many of the top five have still got players involved in the F. A. Cup.
The present leaders Wade' s Al li Barber have four players, Perei ra, Chil well( Leicester City ), De B ruy ne( Manchester City) and Mount( Chelsea ). His team will lose one or two players when Leicester take on Chelsea in the Quarter Finals.
Chris' s team Promotion Again who are in 2 nd place are in a strong er position with six players still competing in the F.A.Cup-Chil well, Var dy (Leicester City ), Biss aka, Rash ford( Manchester United ), Puk ki( Norwich) and Chelsea' s Pu li sic. They could also lose players with the Can aries up against United and the Fox es taking on the Pensioners.
Third placed Terry' s Han na kins are blessed with five players, two from the very strong Sheffield United defence, E gan and O' Connell, James and Rash ford are both from Manchester United while Kevin De B ruyne makes it five. All of them could get through as they don't play one another.
Simon' s team Wolves Will Tweet U are in 4 th place and with Simon being an avid Norwich fan it's no surprise he has three Canary players in his line-up-Bu end ia, Zimmerman and Pukki,t hey are joined by two Leicester City players Kasper Sch mei ch el and Jamie Var dy. The team with six players also is the joint most players and very much the outsiders is E ric's Pea ky Blinders with six players still in the knock out stag es. F our of them play for Leicester City-Sch mie ch el, P ere ira, Maddi son, Var dy and the other two are Manchester United, Maguire and Arsenal' s top striker Au ba me yang. Leicester City have five players, Manchester United four, Norwich three, Chelsea two, Sheffield United two, Arsenal and Manchester City player one player each. Newcastle were the only team in the last eight without a player involved in the top 5.( No surprise there then !)
Checking our other Leagues, I can't see Debbie' s Foxy Filberts not winning our Mark Carter Ladies section while the Junior League will be between Ginger Ninjar, who have four players left in the C up while Lucky Red F. C. and Pi que Blinders have six players on the go. So this division is wide open.
Our Champion of Champions League was done and dusted weeks ago with Wade' s Al li Barber over the hills and far away.
Catherine' s Pompey Hammers are the current leaders of our Across the Costa' s Golden Boot League with a 16 point cushion over Gr a hem' s Laurel& Var dy. The Hammers still have five players still involved in the Cup whereas Gr ahem' steam have one less with four. Third placed Bill' s East Fife rs will have to hope Arsenal will progress in the tie with Sheffield United has he will be relying on Au ba me yang and La caz ette to get them through.
The F. A. Cup League is where only points scored in the F .A . Cup count. Terry' s Could it be this Year( maybe) at the moment hold a 10 point advantage over Eric' s Treble Without Applause but they only have five players to collect points while Eric' s team have nine players still able to pickup points. Eight of the players are from Manchester City who if knocked out by Newcastle could be blown out of the water.
Don' t forget if the Premier League decides the League is void( which I doubt) the A. F. F. L. as it stands now will be the final table.
