Pilar in party mode
PILAR de la Horadada is a municipality that likes a party, and one of its biggest celebrations is the Virgen del Pilar fiestas.
The Virgen del Pilar feast day falls on October 12, which is a national holiday.
This year’s fiestas are going ahead but, due to the risks posed byCovid- 19, not in such a large and flamboyant way as previous editions
Saturday, October 10
Throughout the day: floral offering to the Virgen del Pilar. People are invited to leave a bunch of flowers at the door of the church

11.15: Mascletá ( loud explosive barrage of coordinated firecrackers and fireworks) and bell ringing at Plaza de la Iglesia
Monday, October 12 Virgen del Pilar feast day
11.00: Parade with Horadada musical union leaving from the Obispo Bascuñana district and passing through Calle Mayor as far as the Plaza de la Iglesia 11.30: Mascletá ( loud explosive barrage of coordinated firecrackers and fireworks) and bell ringing at Plaza de la Iglesia
12.00: Saint’s Mass in honour of the Virgen del Pilar at Nuestra Señora del Pilar church 18.00: Parade with Horadada
