ALFAZ DEL PI NORDIC WALKERS ARE BACK NEW COURSES IN ALFAZ

The Nordic Walkers Club meet twice a week, every Tuesday and Thursday, from 8pm until 9pm. Nordic Walking is a sport that makes 90% of the body ' ´ s muscles work – around 600, increases general flexibility and strengthens the immune system. Recommended for all ages the sessions are limited to a maximum of 15 people and use of masks is mandatory.

Residents of Alfas del Pi have the opportunity of registering for a new range of recreational courses which will be starting in October.

Prices range between € 20 to € 32 depending on the students age and if resident in the town. The courses available include English classes for children and adults, Theatre, Chess, Yoga, Norwegian, Painting, Spanish for foreigners, IT, French, Sculpture and Digital photography.

VIRTUAL INTERNATIONAL DAY

October 18: International Day in Alfaz del Pi is an annual event that sees more than 100 nationalities and associations gather to celebrate and embrace coexistence. Usually a grand affair, attracting thousands but sadly this year, due to the health pandemic it will be marked at the Casa de Cultura in a somewhat low- key affair with a maximum limit of 270 people from those

various clubs and associations. The short but colourful and cultural journey will be live streamed from 11am onwards.
