Alfaz classical music season
ALFAZ del Pi classical music society has revealed details of its October programme.
The first concert takes place at the Forum Mare Nostrum on Friday, October 16 at 20.00, and features the acclaimed pianist Marco Tezza, who will be performing works by Schubert and Janacek.
The pianist and conductor was born in Vicenza, Italy in 1964. He attended the Vicenza conservatory of music, studying piano with Milde Molinari, Carlo Mazzoli and violin with Giovanni Guglielmo and Giuliana Padrin. Tickets are € 7.
On Saturday, October 17 at 20.00, the flautist Claudi Arimany and the Beaux Arts Trio will perform pieces from Mozart’s flute quartets at the culture centre.
Claudi Arimany was born in Granollers near Barcelona. He is considered one of the most prestigious Spanish soloists with an international reputation. He has performed throughout the world with prestigious orchestras chamber music groups.
Admission is € 10, or free to members. Tickets are available from the venue from one hour prior to the performance. This concert forms part of the 30th Mozartmanía festival.
The following day ( October 18) at 12.00, Marco Tezza will return with a concert of works by Schubert and Schumann at Albir social centre. Tickets are € 10 or € 5 for members.
The second part of the Mozartmanía festival takes place at the culture centre on Saturday, October 24 at 20.00. It features the Violincheli Brothers - Pablo and Alejandro Turlo, aged 14 and 12 years respectively - accompanied by the Chafer jazz Trio, who will perform their show Desconchertantes. Tickets are € 5 and available from the venue from one hour prior to the performance.
