ALFAZ DEL PI BALCONY ART

The annual exhibition of balcony art is now on display. This year 47 artists are displaying their canvases, but sadly due to the current Covid19 restrictio­ns, there was no official inaugurati­on ceremony. The itinerant exhibition will be in Benimantel­l from November 14 until December 14

CONTEMPORA­RY ART EXHIBITION

A contempora­ry art exhibition is currently on at the Casa Toni el Fuster located on Calle Costera dels Matxos in Altea old town.

The collection Introspect­ion ´ ´ is by local artist Carlos Naos Beltrán and on until October 17. Due to COVID restrictio­ns, a maximum of 5 people is allowed in at a time.

The opening times are Tuesday to Friday 18.0021.00 and Saturday from 11.3013.30

CALPE

ARTIST INSPIRED BY THE SEA

The skills of Calpe artist Maria Vazquez can be admired with a visit to the town’s Europa bookshop, at Calle Oscar Esplá 2, until

October 31.

A selection of her paintings inspired by the sea and local views are on show. Admission is free and the exhibition is open Monday to Friday from 10.0014.00 and 17.00 20.00 and Saturdays in the morning only

SAN PEDRO DEL PINATAR DISCOVER CANOEING

An exhibition in the Museo del Mar ( museum of the sea) is inviting visitors to ' Descubre el piragüismo' ( discover canoeing), which is a popular sport in the municipali­ty. In several rooms there are lifesize boats ( some of them handmade), and a multitude of miniatures showing the various versions of the sport, including kayaks, individual canoes for speed or calm waters, and those used for river descents or slalom events.

The exhibition is open until November 30 during the museum’s usual hours, TuesdaySun­day from 10.0013.00. Currently visits must be by appointmen­t, by calling 606 120 842 or 96 818 19 20.

The museum is located at Calle Ingeniero Lorenzo Morales, Edificio Hogar del Pescador, 2, 1st floor left.

SANTA POLA ROCK AND LIGHT

Until December 31: The Iranian

artist Fatemeh Zahab Saniei was selected to exhibit at the V Internatio­nal New Techniques, Concepts and Developmen­ts in Watercolou­r Biennial in Caudete in 2019. The artist’s latest exhibition Piedra y Luz ( rock and light), a collection of watercolou­rs, is currently on display at the Museo del Mar in Santa Pola.

Open from Monday to Friday from 10.0014.00 until Ocotber 15 and then Monday to Friday from 10.0013.00 and 16.0019.00 Admission is free
