VIRTUAL INTERNATIONAL DAY

October 18: International Day in Alfaz del Pi is an annual

event that sees more than 100 nationalities and associations gather to celebrate and embrace coexistence. Usually a grand affair, attracting thousands but sadly this year, due to the health pandemic it will be marked at the Casa de Cultura in a somewhat lowkey affair with a maximum limit of 270 people from those various clubs and associations. The short but colourful and cultural journey will be live streamed from 11am onwards.

SUSPENSION

October 22 20.30: Nueveuno theatre and circus company production Suspensión at the Teatro Principal. The show examines the precise moment when a ball, thrown up in the air in a straight line, loses its inertia and remains, for a brief moment, floating in the air, an ephemeral photograph whose ‘ normal’ outcome would see the ball returning to where it originally came, but what does ‘ normal’ mean, and poses the question: What if it changes its trajectory or decides to remain suspended eternally? Ticket prices range from € 8 to € 15 and are available through the theatre website at www. teatroprincipal dealicante. com
