Vega Baja festival of food
THE FIFTH Gastro Vega Baja food festival got underway on Wednesday.
The initiative, which continues until December 1, acts as a ‘ shop window’ for 13 of the Vega Baja’s most respected restaurants, and in doing so promotes the area’s rich gastronomy.
On separate days, each of the participating restaurants will be offering an innovative and cutting edge set menu that draws on the Vega Baja’s links with the sea and land.
Organisers Torrevieja and surrounding area association of hospitality companies ( AEHTC) say they are ‘ convinced that this gastronomic event will bring pleasure to the most demanding of palates and to achieve this we have the perfect symbiosis of the sea and land, that, with the quality of the produce they offer, guarantees success’.
Each menu includes a variety of starters, a main course, dessert and drinks and costs € 35 per person.
