Ready for readers

- By Barry Wright bwright@ cbnews. es

LA NUCÍA town hall is reminding residents that the municipal auditorium and Caravana libraries reopened on September 14, albeit with a ‘ considerably reduced capacity’.

The libraries can be used as a reading or study space, but it is recommended that people book an appointment prior to visiting.

It is essential that visitors wear a mask and use the hydroalcoholic gel before entering the building, in order to create a ‘ safe cultural environment’.

In addition to the books and CDs that are available to read or borrow, there are also two inhouse computers – without printers – available at each library.

For people wishing to borrow books or DVDs, it is recommended that they reserve the specific items in advance – at the same time as making the appointment.

To see what books are available at each library, people can consult the online automated municipal libraries catalogue ( OPAC), which is available through regional government website https:// xlpv. gva. es/ cginetbin/ abne top? SUBC= 0062.

All returned books will be quarantined for a period of time that has been established by the regional library network.

The libraries are open from Monday to Friday from 09.0014.00 and 17.0020.00, additionally, the municipal auditorium facility is also open on Saturdays from 10.0013.00.

Appointments to use the municipal auditorium study/ reading space and computers are available by telephone or WhatsApp on 678 778 513 or by email to biblioteca@ lanucia. es.

To use the Caravana library facilities it is necessary to email slcarav ana@ lanucia. es or telephone 96 687 58 27.
