- By Barry Wright bwright@cbnews.es

PILAR de la Horadada youth information centre has joined the Europe-wide Eurodesk programme.

Eurodesk states on its website that it ‘believes that information is key to unlock the potential of the new generations’.

It works with over 1,600 youth information points in 36 countries that inform young people about travel opportunities and encourage them to become active citizens.

By joining the programme the Pilar centre will become a ‘multiplier’ point, which is a ‘regional or local organisation working with young people, delivering youth information to them and advising them on mobility opportunities’.

The service is offered to people aged from 16 to 30, and offers information on subjects, including accommodation and discounts (e.g youth hostels) in European countries, education, training and work in Europe, resources for looking for work abroad, traveling in Europe, youth travel cards, youth exchanges, specific scholarship searches, European youth volunteering, and searching for partners for European projects, programmes and initiatives, amongst other things.
