ADDA 'ESSENTIA' SYMPHONIC MUSIC CYCLE
Until June 18: ADDA (Alicante provincial auditorium) 2020/21 ‘Essentia’ symphonic music cycle featuring some of the best national and international orchestras and soloists.

March 20: Del Amor y El Mar – Adda Simfònica directed by Josep Vicent with soprano Ángeles Blancas perform Chausson’s Poème de l'amour et de la mer, and Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 5
April 24: Stravinsky 50 – ADDA Aimfònica directed by Josep Vicent with cello soloist Damián Martínez perform Elgar’s Cello Concerto, and Stravinsky’s Petrushka
May 1: Universos – ADDA Simfònica with invited director Jurjen Hempel, trombone soloist Ximo Vicedo, and trumpet soloist Pacho Flores perform the premier of Pepe Mora’s Universos, Lindberg’s Un Sueño Morisco double concerto for trumpet, trombone and orchestra, and Schumann’s Symphony No. 2
May 15: Essentia Cello – Cellist Yo-Yo Ma and pianist Kathryn Stott perform works by Beethoven, Janácek, Schumann, Messiaen, Dvorák, Bloch, and Falla
May 22: Trágica - Tokyo Symphony Orchestra directed by Jonathon Nott perform Mahler’s Symphony No. 6 June 11: Essentia Ravel – ADDA Simfònica directed by Josep Vicent with piano soloist Iván Martín perform Ravel’s La valse, Piano Concerto, and Bolero, and the Adagio from Mahler’s Symphony No. 10 June 18: Essentia Falla/Piazzolla 100 – ADDA Simfònica directed by Jospe Vicent with bandoneon soloist Claudio Constantini, singer Ginesa Ortega and dancer David Romero perform Marquez’s Danzón No. 2, Piazzolla’s Aconcagua (concerto for bandoneon), and Fallas’ El Amor Brujo, and El sombrero de tres picos (The ThreeCornered Hat)
