Culture comes to Villajoyosa
VILLAJOYOSA is ‘enjoying culture’ again this March with the publication of details of three events that are taking place during the month.
The town’s La Barbera contemporary art space is hosting an exhibition entitled ‘current pictorial techniques’ by the artist and psychologist Beatriz Aramburu, highlighting the essence of her work which is characterised by its chromatic plasticity. The exhibition is open Monday to Friday from 10.00-12.00 and 17.30-19.30 until April 30.
On March 19 there will be a streamed storytelling session hosted by Al Otro Lado de la Parcela theatre group called ‘Cambia el cuento’ (change the story) – a selection of tales suitable for children aged 5-10 years. To register email cultura@villa joyosa.es, who will respond with a Zoom link giving access to the session.
The activity is funded by a grant for the provision of educational and other extra-curricular cultural and sporting events aimed at children of school age, in order to compensate for the negative effects of confinement as a consequence of the Covid-19 health emergency.
The programme comes to an end on March 28 when the municipal auditorium reopens its doors for a production of the musical ‘We Love Queen’, directed by Yllana – ‘a show full of energy and good music that will excite the audience from start to finish’.
Tickets for the musical will be on sale shortly from the venue box office or online through www.instanticket.es
