Marina Alta town of Alcalalí’s tourism website (www.alcalaliturismo.com) boasts a number of downloadable brochures in
English. The two main brochures are the ‘general tourist’ download – containing information about the town and its surroundings, the ethnological museum, a brief description of local walking routes, and the town’s 14th century tower – and the ‘active tourism’ download containing information about hiking, running, mountain biking, and climbing
ALFAZ DEL PI 33RD ALFAZ DEL PI SHORT FILM CONTEST ENTRIES
Until May 15: Entries accepted for 33rd Alfaz del Pi short film contest. Open to Spanish, or Spanish registered, producers, for fiction films made in 2020-2021 of no longer than 20 minutes duration. Producers are allowed to enter a maximum of two films. Total prize fund of €7,500, with the first to third placed films being awarded €4,000, €2,000 and €1,000 respectively, plus a €500 additional prize for the highestplaced woman entrant. WOMEN’S CHESS WORKSHOPS
Until June 25: Free chess workshops aimed women, young women and girls aged six and over. ‘Ajedrez por la Igualdad’ (chess for equality) workshops every Saturday from 10.30-12.30 at the Escoles Velles culture space. KLEIN SCHREUDER GARDEN MUSEUM GUIDED VISITS

NORDIC WALKERS
The Nordic Walkers Club meet twice a week, every Tuesday and Thursday, from 20.00 until 21.00. Nordic Walking is a sport that makes 90% of the body'´s muscles work – around 600, increases general flexibility and strengthens the immune system. FIFTH BENIDORM SKYLINE FILM FESTIVAL June 25-July 4: This year’s
edition aims to expand the festival’s exposure to an international audience by introducing a ‘European short film’ category.
