Parents forced son to sell drugs
Boy reported his mother and father to the police
A TEENAGE boy has reported his own parents to the police for forcing him to deal drugs.
The 16-year-old went to the National Police headquarters in Alicante and claimed his parents had been making him sell the drugs, principally hashish, at his school for some time.
“He was constantly threatened and physically abused by his parents if he refused to deal the intoxicating substances,” said a spokesman for the force.
So that the officers would believe him, he showed them 19 grams of hashish that his parents had given him to deliver that day, as well as another piece of the substance from a few days before that he had decided to keep as evidence.
Specialised officers from the unit for minors quickly implemented the protocol to protect the boy and searched the family’s home.
Both parents were at home that morning and were immediately arrested.
The search found 1.5 kilos of marijuana buds, 113g of hashish and several boxes of pills and anabolic steroids, as well as tools used for drug dealing, several mobile phones and two fake €500 notes.
Furthermore, officers seized a large quantity of ammunition for 22mm and 9mm pistols and two Taser electric stun guns that were charged and ready to fire.
Inside a modified butane gas bottle the police found a 9mm pistol with the serial number filed off and two magazines, a 22mm pistol, 40 9mm cartridges and a balaclava.
The boy also supplied evidence of incidents of reckless driving, including that his father had taken him for a drive in a recently acquired vehicle at over 240 kilometres
per hour. Given his fear of reprisals from his parents, a restraining order was requested that also included his brother.
The detainees, who are aged 34 and 36 and both Spanish, were handed over to an investigating court in Alicante, which ordered the father to be remanded in custody.
The court also granted the restraining order and temporarily suspended the parental rights of both the suspects.
