U3A Marina Baixa is all heart

- By PDT

THE MONTHLY general meeting of U3A Marina Baixa was well attended and members were informed of the coming excursion to Albufera lagoon and Cullera, arranged by Margaret Hamer.

After the meeting members lunched at Yang Hu in La Nucía.

During the meeting the invited speakers were the charity Corazón Exprés represented by Danny Hughes.

Danny spoke of their work which covers many facets of the daily life of residents and problems they face.

The charity collaborates with social services and other welfare associations, they can help with legal matters, translations, accompany people to medical apcharity pointments and help with basic needs.

Their stated mission is to aid the transformation of people's quality of life through support for personal, family and financial development.

One of Corazón Exprés’ most important functions is emergency help which is available to all people when there is an urgent need.

As Danny emphasises, Corazón Exprés, as a charity has an altruistic dream to be the bridge that connects entities and individuals with the ability to help people in need.

“We cannot change the whole world but we can change the world of one person”.

I am sure all members of U3A Marina Baixa present at the meeting were as impressed as I was and to know that this exists is a very comforting thought.
