TORREVIEJA’S Easter parade season reaches its climax over the coming days. Here are details of the remaining procession­s:

Thursday, April 14

22.30: Solemn silent procession leaving the Inmaculada Concepción church and passing through Plaza de la Constituci­ón, Calle Caballero de Rodas, Calle Patricio Pérez, Calle Campoamor, Calle Turco, Calle Gabriel Miró, Calle Orihuela and Calle Caballero de Rodas before returning to the church

24.00: Solemn procession of the descent of Christ from Calvary leaving from Plaza del Calvario and passing through Calle Santísima Trinidad, Calle San José, Calle María Parodi and Calle Cabellero de Rodas until Inmaculada Concepción church. Prior to the start of the parade the Manuel Barberá choir group will perform La Pasión de la Tía Tortas

Friday, April 15

19.30: Solemn and grand procession marking Christ’s burial leaving from Inmaculada Concepción church and passing through Calle Caballero de Rodas, Calle Patricio Pérez, Calle Ramón Gallud, Calle Zoa, Calle Ulpiano, Calle Moriones and Calle Caballero de Rodas before returning to the church

Sunday, April 17

08.00: Solemn procession of the resurrecti­on leaving from Inmaculada Concepción church. There are two procession­s which take different routes. Known as the ‘encounter’ the two, one carrying the float of the Inmaculada Concepción and the other representi­ng Jesus’ resurrecti­on, will meet at the junction of Calles Concepción and Fotógrafos Darblade where fireworks will be ignited and church bells will ring. Following the ‘encounter’ the two procession­s will unify and pass through Calle Concepción, Calle Bazán and Calle Caballero de Rodas before returning to the church
