• The women’s T20 Cricket World Cup is now underway and there have been early wins for England who defeated the West Indies by seven wickets and Ireland by four wickets. The foursome amassed 1,707 points - 30 behind champions Germany - and it was GB’s first four-man bobsleigh World Championsh­ip medal for 84 years

• Wu Yibing has become the first Chinese tennis player to win an APT title by beating the American John Isner in the final of the Dallas Open. Staying with tennis and GB number one Emma Raducanu has been given a wild card entry into next month’s Indian Wells tournament in the USA

• Last weekend’s NFL Super Bowl final was won by Kansas City Chiefs who beat the Philadelph­ia Eagles 38-35 in a thrilling final encounter at the State Farm Stadium. The Chiefs were 24-14 and then 27-21 down before racing to victory in the final quarter
