Charity shop donates to cat association
THE JÁVEA Feral Cat Association has received a donation of €1,000 from The Original Charity Shop and Library, to help finance its cat sterilisation programme. The association aims to reduce the number of kittens and to keep the feral cat population in the Jávea area healthy. The 'Trap-Neuter-Return' programme, which relies entirely on donations, has been in operation for a number of years, and during this time more than 4,000 cats have been neutered. You can help by making a donation or joining one of the regular feeding teams in the Jávea area.
Sale time: The Original Charity Shop is holding its extremely popular 'End of Season Sale' from Monday, March 20 to Saturday, April 1. You will find bargains galore in all areas, such as ladies and gents good quality clothing, shoes, jewellery, bags, curtains, bedding, bric-a-brac,
household goods, electrical appliances, DIY, toys and much more. Marked items will be reduced by 50%. Everyone loves a bargain, so don’t miss this opportunity to grab one or two – and don’t forget it’s all for a good cause.
In preparation for the changeover to spring/summer items, please note that for the entire duration of the sale we will not be accepting any goods for sale on commission (donations are gratefully accepted at all times). From Monday, April 3, the staff look forward to taking in all your suitable spring/summer items.

Library book sale
The library/book shop is holding a book sale at Iceland Overseas Supermarket on Easter Saturday, April 8. You will find a large selection of fiction and non-fiction for as little as 50 cents per book. In the non-fiction section there will be biographies, cookery, gardening, handcrafts and hobby books to choose from. A selection of children’s books will also be on sale for only 25 cents each.
