- By Barry Wright bwright@cbnews.es

THE PROGRAMME for upcoming events at Teulada-Moraira auditorium, also known as the ‘Marina Alta temple of culture’, was unveiled last week by mayor Rául Llobell and the auditorium director, Maite Serrat.

Among the highlights are a ‘homage to women in music’ featuring a ‘large number’ of women who have been linked to music in Teulada-Moraira over the years, which takes place today (March 17).

On Saturday, March 25, it is the turn of the 10th music band event, when three groups – the Pedreguer artistic musical centre, Pego musical group and Teulada cultural music group – take to the stage.

Next up, on March 31, it is the children’s choir encounter, featuring groups from various municipalities.

On the same day, the ‘Teulada-Moraira is health’ wellbeing fair will be inaugurated. The fair project was born as a result of what was experienced during the pandemic, and is an opportunity

for people to talk about health and wellbeing. The event takes place on March 31 and the morning of April 2, and will contain stands hosted by local businesses related to the health and wellbeing, while the auditorium will host various presentations of ‘great interest’.

On April 2, the Murcia San Antonio Catholic university symphony orchestra and Discantus choir will perform Mozart’s Requiem.

This will be followed on April 8-9 with Theatre Properties’ production of Peter, the musical, recounting the story of Peter Pan – a production described as ‘a show to enjoy with the family and let yourself be carried away by the magic of Neverland.
