Jalón Valley Help - All fun and games

BACK by popular demand, on April 5 Jalón Valley Help held another games night at Pepe's restaurant in Alcalalí. This was a light-hearted quiz based on popular UK television games shows.

The evening started with a couple of table-top rounds based on Tenable and AnswerSmash (from Richard Osman's House of Games) before the guests enjoyed a two-course meal with wine. As usual Pepe's did us proud.

The main part of the quiz then followed, with rounds based on Family Fortunes, Eggheads, Countdown, Only Connect and Bridge of Lies. There was a bit of brain strain for a few of the questions but a lot of fun too. When the scores were totalled, the winning teams were declared as The Undecided, consisting of Dave and Lynn Martin, Dave Burdon, and Pete and Mandy McLenaghan, closely followed by The Kinky Dees, consisting of Jo and Pete Cleary with Colin and Annie Thomas.

In addition to looking after us so well, Pepe's generously donated a bottle of wine and a meal voucher for two as raffle prizes, so a massive thank you to them. Thanks also to Linda, Val and Kath for organising such a fun filled event which raised a total of €355.
