Costa Blanca News (North Edition) - - NEWS -

A lorry driver suffered horrific injuries in Benitachell on Wednesday morning when his arms became trapped under a skip on the back of his vehicle. The accident happened at around 09:15, and due to the seriousness of the accident, an emergency helicopter was called to the scene, along with an intensive care ambulance team. Doctors attending to him described his arms as being ‘flattened’. The 52 year old was transferred by the helicopter to La Fe Hospital near Valencia, but then had to be moved to a special orthopaedic trauma unit in Manises. He was reported to be in a serious but stable condition.
