Costa Blanca News (North Edition) - - NEWS -

A clean up has started of invasive aquatic plants of the Algar river in Altea. Volunteers from France, Germany, Hungary, United Kingdom and China waded through to remove Hydrocotyle ranunculoides, commonly called floating Pennywort and Ludwigia grandiflora, an invasive water primrose, which threaten the biodiversity of the river and kill off native species.
