Dénia PP wants fiesta museum
A Fiesta museum would solve a storage problem and add another tourist attraction to Dénia, says the local government opposition.
PP spokeswoman María Mut and councillor Isabel Gallego are calling for the third floor of the Marchioness' house to be turned into a permanent display of artefacts and information describing the history of Dénia's Moors and Christians, Fallas and summer patron saint festivals.
The one-time home of Marchioness de Valero is undergoing restoration and the third floor is completely open-plan, making it ideal for a mini-museum. And at the moment, Dénia's entire fiesta paraphernalia, ancient and modern, is stuffed in a warehouse which only local authorities can access.
