The first Santa of Christmas

Costa Blanca News (North Edition) - - SOCIAL SCENE - By Jack Troughton

Father Christmas made an early trip from Lapland on Sunday to open the Grand Christmas Fair at Salones Carrasco in Javea.

The sunshine attracted a large crowd to the ‘early bird’ event in aid of Help of Denia and the Marina Alta – and youngsters were quick to spot the man in red and white and rushed across to meet him.

One very excited fan, possibly with a legal future at the Bar, tugged at Santa’s robes to get his attention before assuring him: “I really have been a good girl this year!”

Organiser Lesley Clark said admission to the event was €1 per person. “I’m not sure how I decided to support Help but I haven’t had a single word of criticism; everyone seems to be really pleased.”

The second Grand Christmas Fair is staged at Carrasco between 11.00 and 17.00 on Sunday November 25 – a month before the big day.
